Disappointed with Silverseas. Noticed that the Trip Advisor awards for this ship were all from the early 2000's. Other passengers commented that Silversea is usually better organized. Each port was a long line to disembark!
Embarkation

Disorganized. I was amazed that in this day and age Silverseas had 2 separate check-ins with long lines and half hour later had everyone retrieve passport to resubmit at a different station. Hong Kong is not an unusual port to not know the procedure. yhis however was a preview of how disorganized this sailing was to be.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Specialty restaurant reservations were taken well before sailing. Two nights in a row I had fish that was well past its prime. Selections were limited in the main dining room. Thankfully the room service menu was also available.
Onboard Activities

The lecturer was very good. However the listed topic was not always what the talk was about.
The dance instructor was good.
Entertainment

The males seemed to be much more talented than the females.
Children's Programs
no kids
Service and Staff

With the exception of the central office, the waiters and room staff were very competent
Ship Quality

I liked the fact that the public rooms were confined to one end of the ship. I felt that the stabilizers needed upgrading as the cruise was quite rocky with rather calm seas.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Our cabin had not been completely cleared of the prior occupants belongings. one might wonder how much cleaning was actually performed. The bathroom and closet are nice. However the excess of cabinets with very few drawers was inconvenient. In order to charge a camera or Iphone or Ipad the room clock had to be unplugged. It is time to update their electrical connections.
The tour would have been more interesting if instead of visiting a water village for the third day in a row. the river cruise had gone another 5 minutes to see the largest palace in the world which is undoubtedly the place to not miss in Brunei.
First time in over 30 cruises that luggage placed out well before deadline was not all available and a search had to be done. Just typical of the disorganization of this crew.
