It was a fabulous experience. Everything was so well organized and the crew worked so hard to give us a great experience. Service on board was excellent and rooms were comfortable.

We’ve taken about 50 cruises in our lifetimes, and this was our third cruise on Silversea in the last year. The first was the best and a standard by with we will judge all future cruises. On cruises 2 and 3 however, the main dining room food ranged from excellent to just awful, depending on the night. Our table, and several others, had to send back food multiple times and this never happens to us on other cruise lines or on land. The servers in the main dining room often delivered the food to the wrong person and even the wrong table. The expedition teams, crew, and staff were always excellent. The excursions were generally good, but no better than with any other cruise line. They all contract with the same vendors at each port. So once we take into consideration that Silversea markets itself as being at the top of the list, the overall experience was mid-market but at twice the price. We enjoyed it, but don’t feel that we received good value. So we’re going back to our favorite cruise lines that have never let us down: Windstar, Azamara, and Oceania.

Silversea was simply not prepared to provide a luxury experience to their passengers on this cruise. The highlight of the cruise was the interaction and performance of the expedition staff.

What an adventure but what a hassle. Missed out on the 'Polar Plunge", didn't get to explore Antarctica as the itinerary depicted but did see a lot of neat stuff. A 12 day cruise that should have had 4 days at sea actually amounted to 9 days at sea. Would not have gone had I known what was to happen.

excellent experience until disembarkation ; that was a nightmare

This trip went beyond our expectations. The sheer beauty was among the best on earth, and we have seen a lot of it. We had no high expectations so we were awestruck with the deep blue sky and water and blindingly white glaciers against mountains everywhere we looked. As was said to us, Alaska on steroids.

Feel truly blessed to have had this amazing experience!!

This cruise was to be 5 star.  In reality it was a 4 star restaurant on a 2 star ship.  No AC in the room.  No AC in the gym.  Prehistoric gym equipment.  Missing tiles at the pool.  Green Astro turf from the 70's. No water filtration on board so the clothes went in dirty and came out dirtier. Thank God we never drank the water.  Service on-board however was great. Food was great.

If possible, take your own flight to Ushiaia because the charter flight is so disorganized. Very few couples were seated together - We had one seat in row 3 and the other in row 29....this was not the exception, but the rule.

Despite the Silver Cloud being Silversea's first ship, and thus the oldest in their fleet, it is a beautiful vessel -- more like a yacht. The public spaces are quite nice, and there are many of them for such a small ship. There are several dining options, from the main dining room (The Restaurant) to La Terrazza (an elegant Italian restaurant), to a gourmet dining room (Le Champagne, at extra cost). There is also outdoor, poolside dining. You'll need to reserve for anything other than the main dining room, and you'll want to try dining under the stars on the pool deck at least once. There is a very nice bar and theatre, and the Panorama Lounge is a great place for afternoon tea and piano music. There is a very nice library, a very well-equipped gym, a beauty salon/spa, plus a jogging track. We dont gamble, but there is a nice-sized casino, and we did spend a lot of time in the card room. The staff is excellent. The cruise director is a British woman named Judi, and she is quite impressive. Everyone on the ship is friendly and helpful -- even solicitous. We've been on many ships, and the staff on this one are among the best we've encountered.

door to door dumped in hotel after 28 hours in airports and then got us up 12 hours later at 4am to fly 4 hours and sit in a hotel conference room for another 4 hours to get onboard. every detail was for their convenience and nothing for ours. DEFINITELY NOT A 5 star introduction.

Punta Arenas to Punta Arenas Embark date: 11/14/2021 Debark Date: 11/30/2021 I have booked about 7 expeditions with Silversea in the past and they are impeccable from top to bottom. Everyone is very friendly, kind and they what’s best for you. They will even open a restaurant for your pleasure; if for example, the grill is closed due to bad weather. The butler, waitstaff, management, and expedition staff were excellent. This time around, the expedition staff is mediocre. The expedition staff used to want what’s best for you but are busy taking their own photographs and are a hypocritical bunch of know it all. They have hired some new staff and what a bunch of idiots. They are too busy taking photos of themselves and selfies. The new expedition staff will tell you what to do, where to walk and where to breathe. Some will scold you, even if you deviate from the walking path by one inch! There isn’t even any penguin highway. The new hires they have hired are not educated. They are young, foolish and have control issue. Just read their biographies, it is pathetic. You are a guide? For what? I have proof of photos of their hypocrisy. They need to be fired right away. What happen Silversea/ Royal Caribbean? We paid $50,000 dollars for what? To be told what to do by high school dropouts? But their resume says, I guide? What a pathetic SELECT FEW expedition staff.

Okay the ship was okay, but at $8,000 a pop. Not again. The food was good. Service ehh coulda been better
