Review summary

Overall good cruise with excellent food and service. Disappointed in cabin assignment which was right over the theater, making for a very noisy experience. Some shore excursions did not live up to their descriptions; but others were superb. Staff on board was courteous and efficient at all times....a stellar crew which was well trained.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Compass Rose was superb. Was disappointed in Prime 7 and Setti Mare was adequate but nothing to compare with Compass Rose.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Small ship, so limited on-board activities. This was okay with us as we were on excursions each day.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Specialty performers , mostly local, were great. The on board production company was average.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward were excellent and actually knew us by name. Dining staff was efficient and courteous as was all the staff throughout the ship.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
All was well maintained, clean and efficiently laid out.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Size and cleanliness of cabin was excellent. However, location was terrible: directly over the theater so every noise, note and loud song came right through the floor both in the afternoon during rehearsals and during evening shows. We were forced to attend every production (whether we were interested or not) or vacate the cabin until 10:30 p.m. when the noise abated. Not at all happy with this assignment from a "guarantee" cabin selection when booked back in November.
