Review summary

Overall a very good ship, with no extra frills or no extra amenities, that would attracts younger, louder crowds. The staff is absolutely exceptional and the shows are OK, nothing special but OK. Despite there were less than 250 kids on board ( pre school age), this ship caters mostly for older people ( 85+), that slow down pretty much everything. There are also lots of badly educated people ( you may guess the nationality) screaming and shouting, like they were the only people on board of the ship. Sad to see, that there was no intervention from the management, to warn them The shows are OK in the evenings, but heavily disturbed by the noises of glasses and plates coming from the bar which opens onto the theater. Disturbing. The first night at the restaurant was a complete disaster. The ship needs an Operational Manager, to fix this. We were put in a waiting list and called after over 40 minutes. They tried to lock us down into a smelly room full of parents and kids and we escaped and the excuse of: "It is often chaotic on day one" ,is far from acceptable. In fact, no airline would ever say something like: "We always crash our first flight with passengers". Operations must ( and can ) be smooth from day one, hour one AND minute one. UNACCEPTABLE EXCUSES Are called in my department. You will not see much of the management of the ship, except once when we saw the second in command flirt ( and disappear) with a couple of ladies, he must have picked up from the passengers. Hopefully the Captain was still up doing his job.
