Mostly very good, but there are a few things we weren't happy with.

Review summary

Our biggest complaint was that there were too many activities, music and noise. Loved the Safari Bar. It was our favorite place to sit, but there was always noise coming from the games in the Schooner Bar, which ruined the ambience we love about the Safari. We could never find a quiet place to just chill and read a book other than our cabin. Also, the constant background music was annoying. Need more quiet spaces. Loved the ship and it's layout. Centum was a fun place to hang out when we did want some entertainment. The musical stage shows were great. Every staff member was wonderful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Main dining room was very good. I thought the buffet could have been better. More fresh fruit. Less preheated foods.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Didn't do many.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Generally good. A bit repetitive at times. Actually, would have preferred less entertainment and more quiet times. It got a bit of sensory overload at times.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Excellent. Room steward was great. Main dining room waiter and assistant waiter were awesome.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved our cabin. Size was perfect. We really enjoyed our ocean view and just sat and watched the se at night in bed.

Ship tip

Be prepared for the constant noise and activities.

Ports of call

Sydney, Nova Scotia

2 out of 5
Dissapointing. Not much to see in town. Streets were all torn up.

Saint John, New Brunswick

4 out of 5
Better than Sydney. Enjoyed the old buildings in town and the market.

Bar Harbor, Maine

5 out of 5
Loved Bar Harbor. Great walking town with much to do. Loved the lobster.

Portland, Maine

5 out of 5
Portland was an unexpected surprise. Loved just walking around the residential areas and the Old Port District. Happened to visit the old cemetery and had a chance encounter and private tour with one of the board members. My wife and I love visiting old cemeteries so this was great.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Easy peasy.
