Review summary

I love cruising and have been cruising for years, I have to say this has been my favorite cruise to date. This was my first time cruising on Royal Caribbean. I allowed my friends talk me into a transatlantic Cruise and feared I would be bored to death with over 10 days at sea. Another factor that scared me was that Serenade of the Seas is an older ship and do not have the amenities that the newer ships have. Wow, was I wrong! If you like meeting new people, dancing , eating, drinking and you have family or friends that enjoy these things then this is the cruise for you. The ship is beautiful and is well maintained by the staff. John (from Trinidad) and his housekeeping staff keeps the ship sanitized I can’t tell you how many times I bumped into Peter cleaning down the stairs and railing. As I walked up and down the stairs to work off some of the amazing food that I ate. Chef Benedict and his staff truly love what they do and it showed in every dish they delivered to our table. ( A special thanks to Chef Benedict and his staff for preparing a special menu of our favorite foods) . Chef Kayson Ingigton from the Chef’s Table, you rock, She had me eating things I don’t normally eat, such as Scallops, just because of the beautiful presentation and the high praises from the other guest. I tried and loved it. The wait staff was fabulous. The wait staff Kavraj Bhoyrub ( Manager ), Michael Alvarez-(waiter), Muhammad Haerdui (assist waiter), Jean Cerveaux-(assist waiter), Meljohn Piol (singing waiter) all had our table ready before we sat down, with all the little particulars that we loved (straws, paper napkins, pepper sauce and or fresh pepper when they could get it). We enjoyed the food at your specialty restaurants, including Chops Grille & Giovannis. I would be amissed if I did not tell you of the great services that we received from : Pablo Mendoza, Mihai Opera and Tidgo Dias Sotero. Our Cabin attended Alba Laura was excellent in maintaining our cabin, her happy and cheefull personality and he eagerness to help was very refreshing I also want to acknowledge your bar attendants that were ever so easy to talk with, entertaining and excellent at what they do Crown Castle Pub: Cheffield Cottle, Paul Williams, Schooner Bar: Hendricks Lee-bar and I don’t want to forget the staff at Lattetudes: Cristina Tan, Colleen Taylor, and Rohan Mathvrin who made my coffee just right every day and provided me with my cookie addiction on a daily bases. I truly hope that RCCL acknowledge all of the staff members I listed as the provided excellent service and exceeded my

My husband and I cruised in her for 37 nights this year. The BEST cruise we have been on to date. I’ve never had a bad experience on any RCCL ship, but with that said, the crew was absolutely amazing!!!!! I would do the same thing next year if I hadn’t booked a year in advance.

We have been on Serenade on 4 cruises and we love this ship, staff and crew. Capt. Thor is the best in the RCCL fleet because he is always around meeting the guests. The best bartender in the fleet is Alan in the Crown & Castle Pub.
