Review summary

Haven't cruised in over five years and boy was I surprised to see how much Royal. Caribbean had slipped in the excellence of service, attention to detail and quality. Definitely not as impressive as I remember. We had fun but the cruise was just okay.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Waited in lines but they moved along quickly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was mostly good but unimpressive. The fact that better meals are now advertised on the menu but for a price, I find extremely tacky. Quality is slipping on Royal Caribbean

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Played miniature golf.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Again...i feel quality is slipping

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Our room steward provided excellent service and was the friendliest staff person on board

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship is definitely showing it's wear and tear. The centrum area extremely small area and definitely not large enough for number of passengers on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Clean room but couch was worn as well as curtains. Our mattress was in dire need of replacement. It was very uncomfortable.

Ship tip

It was not the best cruise I've ever been on.....small ship......which has seen better days

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts Did not visit port

Bar Harbor, Maine Did not visit port

Had seen it before......Bar Harbor is a definite must see...very qualify not and scenic.

Portland, Maine Did not visit port

Saint John, New Brunswick

5 out of 5
Did the trolley tour. Saw the Bay of zfundy...very interesting and scenic.

Halifax, Nova Scotia Did not visit port

My husband and I were both sick and stayed on board

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Ship staff called us to queue way too soon causing huge lines to wait in to show passport etc. it was one of the worst disembarkation I've ever experienced. Very poor planning.

Quantity rather than quality and if course the bottom line seems to be the way of all things these days, not just cruise lines 😟
