My wife and I have been with other cruise lines but Virgin has top them all with an excellent experience at ALL levels. We were so delighted we tried Virgin for the 1st time.

Great first time experience with Virgin and we’re looking forward to cruising with Virgin again.

Overall, we had a great experience and enjoyed ourselves on the ship.

No kids, no buffets, no dress code... was the selling point for us. The food was fit for foodies, and the food court vs a typical buffet was a great alternative. It would be cool to have a drink package... but we actually didn't go over too much on our pre-paid tab. It will also be nice when they get their ship stores re-opened... as they didn't have much to choose from for souvenirs..

Our experience was wonderful. The ship, staff, food, entertainment everything was top-notch!

We did this cruise because it was during our 54th wedding anniversary, now we wish we had picked another cruise line.

This cruise is for a more liberal state of mind. Everyone was kind but it definitely pushed our comfort level.

Ship is beautiful, the crew is great, and the drinks are reasonably priced. The entertainment was liking and not the usual entertainment choices available for most other cruise companies. The food was just okay

I really enjoyed my first cruise ever, and was glad that it was with Virgin. Let's start with the pros first: The food was amazing, well presented, and had plenty of variety. The wait staff were always friendly, genuinely happy to serve and engaging. My cabin had a balcony with a hammock, that I didn't get enough time to enjoy with all the activities. The space was very well organized, beautiful and had customized lighting. I thought the bathroom was going to be too small but was pleasantly surprised that it had both a rainforest shower and handheld attachment. I had absolutely no issues with nausea or seasickness from being in the front part of the ship. My trip to the spa was lovely! The room had a great view, and my masseuse was awesome! Now as this was my first cruise I could only state what I've heard, but not having children on a cruise is a HUGE plus! Everyone was respectful, no one was underdressed or naked, we did bump into a drunk guy on ship who was sunburned, but even he was polite, just disoriented. Now for the cons: I knew going in the app would be a little glitchy, but it was a nightmare! I had to wait upon arriving with guest services to get it to work, and even then it was a nuisance. The app has so much potential, they really need to get it fixed! I was also disappointed that upon disembarking the ship, I wouldn't be able to look at past activities or any of the things I got up to while on the ship. The app simply doesn't work once you leave and you might as well uninstall it. Another pet peeve I had was with the shows, dual reality was okay, the acrobatics were entertaining but the plot was a little cheesy. Disco night was a disappointment! I was expecting to be able to at least get in a few dances in but the cast immediately started with very risque, sexual behavior that I thought should have at least been added at the end of the show. I would really appreciate in the future that they blow a siren, flash some red lights, and announce that "it's about to get hot in here" to give us conservatives a heads up so that we can politely dip out before it gets too spicy. Everyone deserves to party and I would have liked to be able to have stayed more than 5 minutes. And finally, the pool... Or should I say the paddling pool. I knew going in that it was going to be small, but man it is not for swimming! Strictly for Instagram pictures, and dancing in shallow water during a party. Just be ready for that, you'll have to wait until a stop to get in a few laps at a real pool. Now, back to the spa... I wasn't comfortable with it being coed (especially as the space was so small), so I didn't stay for the additional fee, which I thought was over priced anyway. You'd have to pay $60 just to sit around because the jacuzzis they had could only hold a few people comfortably. I would personally redesign that entire space and make the pools a lot larger, that would have made the difference. In conclusion, I would definitely go back because you get more than what you pay for in the quality of food and service. I cannot stress this enough the staff is amazing! I heard Richard actually visited the staff and made sure they had everything they needed, and felt heard. That is what leadership looks like, based on the feedback from his staff I'll definitely be investing in the stock of this company. Everyone was committed to making you feel happy and safe (security was on point for the parties). There's plenty to do, and although I was not that impressed with the shows there were an artist that performed on the deck that so talented! He was a one-man show. If my app worked off ship then I'd be able to give you his name but again the app is useless once you leave. Hopefully by the time sail again, there be some improvements, and I am so looking forward to it!

My wife and I went for our 10 year anniversary trip and were very pleased. The staff, ship, shows, food... everything was outstanding. 5 stars! We'll definitely be back on another Virgin Voyages cruise.

Some good things on the cruise and while the ship layout is atypical its design seems to be more for being different than functional for guests. The food was good but with only one exception the restaurant layouts not appealing. Most seemed a throw back to Urban Yuppie from the 80's

Overall our experience crusing on Virgin Voyages 'Scarlet Lady' was excellent. We liked the fact that the cruise was adults only. With only ~ 2000 passengers on the ship it didn't seem very crowded at all. The restaurants and entertainment were great! The ship's crew were extremely friendly and helpful. We also had a great experience dealing with Jennifer Bell of who worked with us throughout the planning stages to ensure that everyone in my group had a great experience! We will definitely use again and sail with Virgin Voyages again as well!

For my first cruising experience, I had an awesome time. The price seems high, but the inclusive features were worth it. There was different food to try everyday- from Italian to Korean BBQ. The Galley (similar to a buffet) had options such as sushi, tacos, burgers, and all-day breakfast. The service was excellent and all of the staff were polite and ready to help us if we needed it. There was a lot of diversity in age, race/background, and people coming from all over. The culture was super friendly and I felt no judgment at all from anyone at any point. There were fitness people, married couples/parties, singles, and people who just came with friends. Everyone seemed to have no trouble finding something to do or finding somewhere to relax. Many reviews warned that this cruise was gaudy, but I felt that the vibe was more of a "reliving your inner child" and was not sensual in any way. There were parties available every night, but the music did get redundant which did leave me bored. It was also hard to socialize with new people since there were many groups, so I recommend meeting people beforehand if that is appealing to you. As for improvements, the rooms could definitely be expanded. The bathroom was cramped and the showers would sometimes flood/clog. Additionally, the app had several issues that need to be repaired. We had trouble accessing the daily agenda, ordering food, sometimes just opening the app. While I enjoyed the modern aesthetic, I think providing guides and improving some of the technological aspects would be useful for people. Also, there were some events that were repetitive or times were there was nothing to do at all which sometimes left me a bit bored, but the plenty of unique places to sunbathe on the ship reminded me I needed to also enjoy relaxing. I highly recommend this cruise, especially if it's your first experience. The non-traditional experience allows you to distinguish what you like and don't like about cruising while allowing you to try something new.

Cruise was better than expected. 1st time on Virgin. Will definitely take another one.

The ship design was a marble, very minimalistic I love the communal dining the service was just above amazing. The food was an afterthought very boring and very disappointing. Loved my cabin.
