Review summary

No kids, no buffets, no dress code... was the selling point for us. The food was fit for foodies, and the food court vs a typical buffet was a great alternative. It would be cool to have a drink package... but we actually didn't go over too much on our pre-paid tab. It will also be nice when they get their ship stores re-opened... as they didn't have much to choose from for souvenirs..

Embarkation

Super efficient, friendly staff, and easy to navigate

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
No dress code, no kids, no buffets were what sold us on this cruise... the food was fit for foodies and we loved that every restaurant tasted like a completely different restaurant... as many all inclusive places tend to all taste the same... also specialty cocktails were only available at specific restaurants...

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pool was too small for the amount of people... they had several hot tubs, but they could have turned the heaters off during the day so that more people could use them without sweating. Gym was modern and clean... lots of nice seating areas around the ship to just relax.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
we did 2 comedy shows and 1 musical, all were entertaining... not broadway, but good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I have to admit that the staff was super friendly and accommodating .. even working in the hot kitchens.. they were friendly... we got daily refills on our water and ice which was nice...

Ship Quality

The ship was very new and clean...

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a balcony room, that had a hammock and two patio chairs. the bathroom was fine for us, but if you are a larger person, you might have a bit of a struggle to get in and out.. our room pad controller had a faulty charger... which was supposed to be changed, but never was.. so we had to constantly adjust the cord so that it would charge and not keep beeping all night... a/c was also an issue the first day... they fixed it quickly and everythign was good.. we got lucky to upgrade to a midship room close to the elevators!

Ship tip

don't overpack... you can even have your laundry done for a reasonable price...

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Miami is just so stupid expensive for anything, our hotel the night before the cruise was a super small room for $300...

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

3 out of 5
Mexico used to be a place where you could go shop and get deals on things made in Mexico.. now it is even more expensive than Miami... I would have loved to support them more but IMO they have just priced themselves out.. $8 for a dos equis beer!!!

The Beach Club (Virgin Voyages), Bimini Bahamas

4 out of 5
Now we were lucky and they refunded our VIP cabana so we just got chairs with umbrellas up along the beach.. the original cabana was set way back behind the pool, with a terrible view... but worse it was infested with ants... this was also the first bad waiter we had ever had... our buddy finally had to contact his butler to get us changed as the waiter didn't care that we had an ant issue... (please note the cabana next door didn't have the ants.. and it wasn't 3-4.. it was like a nest under the cabana.. when you walked in they would swarm your feet)...

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Super simple.. go down to deck 7 walk out.. go through a quick immigration and then we jumped on the airport shuttle for $10/pp
