For the most part it was fun and enjoyable. The bookings for shows, the ships in the night show, and the shore things staff bring the overall rating from a 5 to a 3.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Not bad, but got the romance package, which came with priority boarding.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Food was good everywhere. Just cold scrambled eggs in the galley and the wake, every single time. Everything gets booked up the day it becomes available to do so (about six weeks out?)
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Pools were small but seemed to work. Kind of difficult to get drinks and impossible on Scarlet Night.
Entertainment
2 out of 5
Worrying about show bookings was unnecessarily stressful and needs to be completely changed, somehow. It is a disorganized mess. Although, wish we had missed the “ships in the night” show. “Duel Reality” was great just due to the acrobatic talent.
Ships in the night, which people were saying, was risqué, was more like outdated and unnecessarily woke at the same time. We can do without the message while on vacation. I get it. We all get it. I closed my eyes and could hear Richard Simmons. Not that entertaining. Be truly funny and entertaining without relying upon making a mockery of your own self-identity. Be inclusive to everyone. Be mindful of what “everyone” means. I love living in a world where I can be me and you can be you. Please don’t set us back 30 years. Wife and I are both very “fun, interesting and flexible” in many ways. To be cringe-able for us took some effort. Mostly it was just cringe-ably lame.
Both shore excursion staff members were unfriendly and unhelpful. It was one of the few times I felt left out and canceled on this cruise.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Most of the staff were nice and actually pretty incredible. Some, like two that do the shore things, fall into a less favorable category.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Loved the hammock. Everything was kept very clean and tidy.
