Head to the back of the ship to avoid the wind and windchill. It's also much quieter as kids generally go to the main pool.

Pizza at Alfredo's is very good--but they serve nothing else and drinks, of course, are extra. Destination advisor, Elizabeth, is excellent--good fund of knowledge, very approachable.

Pizza at Alfredo was the best pizza of all the other ships that I have been on. The stateroom was great, particularly the layout with great closet space.

To be honest, I think a Mini Suite is well worth it. It was maybe only $100 difference when we booked it, but it's worth it for a 7 day cruise. Lots of room, and the balcony views are amazing. All balcony locations will be GREAT for an Alaskan cruise. The ship actually does a full 360 turn so that both sides will see everything. So worth it!
