Despite a few negatives, we enjoyed our relaxing cruise very much.

Our boarding went extremely smoothly. We were on-board before midday and able to access our rooms immediately. Our cases arrived by the time we had finished lunch at the Horizon.

Food and Dining

We were disappointed by the standard of meals and service in the MDR, so we ate there only sporadically. However, the quality and variety of food in the Horizon buffet was excellent as usual. We didn’t try the specialty restaurants ourselves, but we did arrange for some friends travelling with us to have the UBD experience for their anniversary, and they reported that it was wonderful!
Onboard Activities

We used the fitness centre rarely, as it was quite busy each time we visited. We went along to a couple of art auctions, but found the emphasis on Peter Max off-putting.
Entertainment

Some of the performers in the Piazza and bars were very good, but the shows in the main theatres didn’t hold the appeal of previous cruises. The Princess show band’s Dixieland jazz show in the Piazza was excellent
Service and Staff

The staff did not have a consistent standard of service; some were extremely good, being willing to go the extra mile, whilst others were lacklustre, to say the least.

We enjoy the appearance of Sapphire, and found it to be clean and well-maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom

The balcony stateroom was excellent, with a spacious balcony.
We didn’t do an excursion, but took the shuttle ($16 pp) to a nearby shopping mall (5 mins). We found the prices there were equal or higher to those back home.
