Review summary

It was just a horrible trip. The staff was not friendly the lines were extremely long our room was not clean the food was not good and there were absolutely no activities that were any type of fun.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
The whole experience was horrible. During the impartation process nobody was on the same page. We would ask questions and every person had a different answer. For example the gentleman who took our luggage told us we could now go to the front of the line for the process since the line we were in was to drop off luggage. And then when we got to the front of the line the lady said no you need to go to the back of the line everybody here is waiting for the same thing. So that just tripled our process. The staff did not

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The drinks themselves was not bad. However when you wear your medallion to the bar and there is more than one of you in a room you get charge for more than one drink. I was being charge for all three of my roommates drinks on my medallion so you could imagine my bill. When I tried to go up and fix it the first time on day three they fixed it but by the end of my trip it had happened several more times. The buffet was disgusting. I did find some fried shrimp that was pretty good and had I found that on day one I probably would’ve ate that every day. The restaurants were very good.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
There were absolutely no activities that were fun. There was a 30 minute bingo session and a paper plane making contest. It definitely was not like any other cruise line of experience where there was just fun going on everywhere. Even one night there was an outside movie and they would do this in the middle of the day and it was freezing cold outside.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
The only entertainment I saw was a mariachi band.

Children's Programs

1 out of 5
This did not concern me because I did not have any children with me but I also did not see any children’s programs. Unlike other cruise lines I’ve been on there was lots of fun things for the kids to do.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
We had to be switched rooms but due to our first room the person never came around and even cleaned our room the first three days we were there. There were three pieces of candy that he look like he just toss from the front door and they just landed there was two on the floor and one on the bed

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I will say the ship was extremely clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
The room it’s self was horrible. We had to use the bunkbed on top of our beds. And the way that the ladders our position you would consistently just tripped over the latter.

Ship tip

I would say if you are a senior citizen this would be the trip for you. It was absolutely no fun. And I will never take this cruise line again.

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

2 out of 5
I had fun in Cabo San Lucas. However we did do the horseback riding excursion. It was good for the money however I just felt really bad for the animals they were all marked with initials on them. And the horses just went out back to back. I asked the gentleman if they get a break or water in between and he said yes but that was untrue because as soon as we got back from our hour and a half ride the horses went right back out .

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
It was just not organized. They put numbers in your cabin to disembark and nobody listen to the disembark meant process apparently. There was just one very huge line that you had to get into to get out through customs.

If you went through a Travel Consultant... FIRE THEM. If you didn't go through a TC, find one. Princess is what it is. Shouldn't bash the line because you, or your agent, didn't know the demographic.

Cruises are definitely what you make of it.

Again.. Princess is for the older crowd.

I cruise all the time. This was my first with Princess. It was all around a flop. Never again nor will I refer it to anyone.

I think you would be happier on a Carnival Cruise. Younger group.

I agree cruising bid t for you. Some of what you said I don’t believe.

It definitely sounds like cruising and maybe traveling isn’t for you. You did not seem to enjoy much of anything. I have been on Princess and loved it. No water slides, amusement park rides, etc., just a perfect cruise experience.
