Embarkation went smoothly. The gathering building was not near as nice as the one at Long Beach.

The food was good and there were lots of choices. Our only complaint was the wait staff in the MDR—far less attentive than the staff we had on the Grand in June. We had to ask for cocktails as soon as we sat down or we’d never get them before we ate. They must have been short on butter because we had to ask for more every night—3 pats for 4 people, really? One night the server came around the table and put ground pepper on every entree without even asking and other nights we never saw the pepper grinder. The last night we had an exceptional waiter who interacted with us and made us feel very welcome. The service was inconsistent, to say the least.

Mostly relaxed by the pool but did play a round bingo. Only complaint was that I didn’t get a bingo!

Entertainment

The ship’s band, One Way, was great—a nice variety of music. The comedian was hilarious and we also enjoyed the Sweet Soul production show.
