Review summary

This is typically a relocation cruise, so the service and environment are typically less than the norm.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Fast and easy with Medallion class

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Bars were great, but food was bland.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Too cold to try too much.

Entertainment

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Excellent service with minor issues.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We upgraded to E625, obstructed view balcony stateroom. It was a wonderful room. Our obstructed view was minimal as the rail is even with a lifeboat top.

Ports of call

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

San Diego, California

We did the wine tasting excursion. It was okay, but the wine wasn't wonderful. Still, it was a fun experience.

San Francisco, California

4 out of 5
We did our own tour of Alcatraz and Pier 39/Fisherman's Wharf because they were within walking distance.

Seattle, Washington

3 out of 5
We met up with family to tour Pike's Market and do the Underground tour. Out of all port stops, this was the shortest stop. I wish we had had a longer stay here and a shorter stop in San Francisco (overnight stop).

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

4 out of 5
We did the Stanley Park and Downtown highlights excursion, which was fun. We were staying for a couple of extra days, so we wanted to check out some highlights for ideas on what to see while there. We had a great time on the excursion and enjoyed our longer stay afterward.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
This could be streamlined to make it much faster. We were given group numbers to wait for our disembarkation, but then we were called by our luggage tag groups (completely different). Very confusing.

Welcome to Vancouver! I was on this cruise as well from LA to Vancouver 3 days ago. Vancouver has lots of attractions: suspension bridge, grouse mountain skiing and watching bears, Granville island with good crowder and local artists, Chinatown etc. so much fun!
