It’s a 30-year-old cabin, with 30-year-old design.

Go for the itinerary not the ship.

The Viking Lounge is like a hidden jewel. It's in plain sight but nobody goes there and it offers a classy lounge, bar, and dance floor, with a great view. Chilled here with my lady

Take peppermints, peanut butter crackers and can ofnuts to snack on

The muster deck is the best place for a quite, shaded seat.

Try to explore the first day to get your bearings.

A lot to do - enjoy it all

This was our first cruise and we loved it. Rhapsody is a smaller and older ship, so it was a good choice for our inaugural trip. While it may not have the shine, size and amenities of the newer ships, it met our expectations and did not disappoint.

With these ports of call, I would not use an off-board excursion company. We found timing to be tight at many of the ports when we factored in the distance to activities from the ship and time to tender back to the ship.

The port you leave out of is not well marked. Make sure you can see the boat before you get out of your car

Bring a highlighter to mark the activities that you want to do on the card they give you every day. Take a picture of it in case you lose it.

Ship does not handle well unless seas are really smooth. Our exit from Tampa and return was rough to say the least and had even some of the crew not feeling well.

I would upgrade to a balcony the next time i cruised this ship.

Don’t do My Time dining. Not enough available tables.

Things I packed per research that were very handy: 1. A non-surge protected power strip. There was one outlet in the vanity and one in the bathroom that appeared to be the European style so I couldn’t use it. We definitely needed the extra outlet for the extension cord for our CPAPs (extension cord and distilled water provided by RC) and number 2... 2. A fan. OMG so happy I brought a small fan. I’m used to a stand fan in the bedroom at home plus for my taste the cabin stayed quite warm. You also can hear a variety of noises and the fan helped quiet them. 3. Towel clips- I was only able to lay out the first day at sea (we had cool weather the last day at sea) and forgot to take my clips with me and my towel barely stayed on the chair. There is bar soap so no need to pack that or shampoo if you aren’t picky. Chairs on the upper deck were roped together and impossible to move- difficult to climb on so like everyone says- get there early if you want a good chair. Don’t lose a towel! I could swear I returned my towel the last night but was told I didn’t and had to pay $25. No big deal but...make sure you do it and they scan your seapass.

Watch out for how terribly expensive the pictures are, and how unclear the explanation is on how you have to pay for them. $106 for 6 pictures, and another $106 for the cd with 6 pictures blocked! Really???

Not to purchase the drink package if one is just an occasional drinker. Only one brand of Pino Grigio was offered which was too acidic. So very disappointed not to have an occasional wine with dinner.

We had 2 days of rough seas! I’m not sure if it would have been as bad on a larger ship!

Make good use of the daily schedule; it helps you maximize your time and enables you to choose your favorite things to do. It also helps with tips on shore excursions and people to contact.
