The cruise itinerary was spectacular.... by kjsimpson

Sail date: /
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

The cruise itinerary was spectacular. However, the ship itself has very little to do on cruise days. The internet was horrific from our room. We paid for VOOM surf and stream but could barely stay connected let alone stream from our room. Very nice crew. Ship was clean except the windows (which is important on a cruise ship). Hard to find a seat in Windjammer for breakfast and lunch. All in all, we had a good time but the ship needs better activities and better use of space.

Lovely cruise around Greece & Croatia in October. Itinerary changed due to bad weather but all locations were lovely. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Ship was spotless & well maintained. Food was excellent. A very relaxing & enjoyable week.

Great ship and crew. Loved Greece. by jaytow

It is a smaller and older ship than we are used to. But we were pleasantly surprised. The service and food were excellent. Highly recommend Rhapsody of th Seas.

Very nice trip. by fotomom

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Overall we had a great time. Getting off and on the ship in the various ports of call went seamlessly. The wait staff at our dining table and our room steward were wonderful. The bartender in the Spa area was terrific. We look forward to our next cruise adventure.

This was our second cruise,... by SjDuffy

Sail date: /
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

This was our second cruise, first with Royal Caribbean. This was a vastly better experience than with MSC. The crew feel like one big happy family who are welcoming you aboard their home at sea. Although the Rhapsody of the Seas is a bit older with the odd knock and chip here and there it is still beautiful and very clean. The entertainments are great. The quality of the food especially in the main dining room is excellent, we were allocated the same table every night and Shekhar and Milos our waiters couldn’t do enough for us

A disappointed holiday in an outdated ship with poor food by Uru1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Long wait to embark. Poor food quality in main dining room, no variety. More variety in the Windjammer court but food quality remains poor.

Although we had another fabulous... by Mrsy

Sail date: /
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Although we had another fabulous trip on this ship, I felt compared to other vessels, this one seemed a little tired and old. It didn't help that the destinations were cooler in climate so we wern't able to use the amenities outside which in turn made the indoor activities repetitive. The atrium was small, too small for the activities planned there, it seemed the whole ship congregated there every evening. Over populated in my opinion. I witnessed 2 passengers arguing over seating on more than 1 occasion. Staff were fantastic though, very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. My preference is the ships with the promenade, lots more choice on evening entertainment.

First RC cruise. Unclean cabin... by Donna2Banks

Sail date: /
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

First RC cruise. Unclean cabin windows, and had to re build 2 drawers which basically fell apart. Stayed front right of deck 4 so noise of anchor and ropes was loud and vibrated room in /out of ports. Cabin attendant did his job but hardly seen him (in/out like a flash) Other regular RC cruisers advised us to not be put off and to try a newer ship because even they had noticed the difference at how tired it looked on their return visits. (Rhapsody now the oldest in fleet) Staff pleasant and welcoming, food plentiful but similar menu every evening in anytime dining restaurant. Entertainment rather poor unless you constantly want to watch the Cruise Director if not on the stage on the TV! There was however a band named L'ements who when they were on got the crowd rocking. Formal nights not as formal as we are used to with P&O. More suits and ties for men rather than dinner suit. (So husband although looked the part felt overdressed) Itenary was great and enjoyed all ports but times in and out varied and for some felt we didn't get long enough. This ship is however ideal for those who may not want to get lost on a larger ship (why many retired people said they came back) We met some wonderful people only happy to share their cruising knowledge and look forward to revisiting RC sometime in the future but on a newer ship as recommended.

WOW! by dayscruzin

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

As first time cruisers we found this ship to be beautiful. The staff were excellent as were the shows and entertainment. Not many children on board and an older demographic which suited us fine!

Great experience, with beautiful destinations. by jnangel5028

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

We had an amazing time! We missed out on 2 of our planned destinations, Due to strong winds. However, the captain made up for this by staying in Athens overnight. He also added an unexpected stop to Split, Croatia. It was a wonderful experience for my wife and I.

Cruise was great, no complaints, all the staff were brilliant, food and drinks excellent, loved the casino. Staff work really hard and do a great job but did realise they need more staff at peak times.

Rhapsody of the Seas and... by chicruiser18

Sail date: /
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Rhapsody of the Seas and the 7 night Greek trip out of venice is amazing! The food in the main dining room was good especially with my time dining. We also did the chef's table which is a great time everytime. A little weak on entertainment....but there was typically a dance party somewhere on the ship after 8. Getting on & off the ship was easy and not much of a wait. The boat was very diverse (families, couples, all ages and diversity). That makes it great as we made great friends from Scotland, Spain, South Africa, Brazil, etc.

Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

We stayed on interior room 2625. It was very quiet, very spacious and had a lot of room for storage, there was storage space we didn't use! The shower in the bathroom always had the sounds of running water, although there was no water running.

What an Experience! by 3kids3kats

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Eastern Mediterranean

Interesting ports of call (although excursions started way earlier than I had expected (6:45 was not unusual!)), fabulous staff and entertainment. If you go during the summer, expect temperatures in the high 90's so take plenty of water, and maybe a water bottle strap, and have a few Euro coins with you as the public restrooms charge. I wished I had done my own exploring in Olympia rather than the excursion. The guide had to rush through some parts to stay on the schedule that I wanted to see more, and spent time in other parts that I didn't find interesting. The excursion in Kotor took us through a series of 25 switchbacks that made me nauseous, so again, I wished I had explored on my own. The activities staff had a good number of activities but not all were well attended, not sure why. The entertainment was top notch! I would recommend this cruise itinerary!
