Review summary

Overall a fun cruise. The only thing we didn’t like was the back to back days at sea to end the cruise. It would have been nice to have the sea days split up or possibly one more port considering your passing multiple possible ports after leaving St Kitts heading back to Miami. The staff were all wonderful and the ship was very clean with great service.

Embarkation

Smooth process overall I’m Bridgetown. We got there early so we didn’t have to wait in line too long and we were glad we did.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5

Main Dining Room

4 out of 5

Main dining room was nice every evening. The menu changed for the most part each night which is refreshing. It was nice to see different appetizers each night as well.

Windjammer Cafe

3 out of 5

I think the windjammer could improve a bit in the different types of food. Our favorite dishes each day were the Indian dishes.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Always something to do on board. We did the rock climbing wall and that was fun. The gym was used throughout the stay as well by a family member that had no complaints.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows we attended were nice and enjoyable. It’s always fun to see the onboard comedian. However we missed a couple shows because they were so late at night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The service and staff were outstanding throughout the entire cruise. From stateroom attendants, to concierge, to the dining staff they were all great.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It’s been a while since we were on a vision class. It was well kept and maintained overall. It’s always different cruising on these ships after coming off an oasis class cruise. With that being said it’s nice and bit more personal on the smaller ships, which is refreshing. Not as much chaos.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was great. Extremely spacious with nice amenities. We loved the full size bathroom with 2 sinks as well as the oversized balcony.

Ship tip

Enjoy the charm of the smaller ships.

Ports of call

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
St Kitts is always beautiful to arrive and wake up to. We decided to do a volcano hike here through Royal as well. This was a very active activity. It took just under 3 hours just to get to the top and around 2 hours to hike back down.

Kingstown, St. Vincent

5 out of 5
We went on the Dark Falls excursion through Royal. It was a lot of fun and a long day. Drove through the western portion of the island eventually getting to the waterfalls, we then had lunch by the beach followed by a catamaran ride back to the ship.

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Here we decided to do another excursion through Royal. We did a catamaran right to go and see the Pitons and some snorkeling. It was a fun morning and early afternoon. The pitons are amazing to see.

Bridgetown, Barbados

We spent 2 days here prior to cruising and really enjoyed our time. Beautiful island and beaches.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
No complaints for disembarking in Miami. Miami is home for us. However for some reason disembarking was an absolute nightmare for this cruise and even the Royal staff and CBP stated this was not normal at all. Not sure what happened but there were massive delays. Disembarking started at 09:30. Our time was 10:00 and we didn’t get off until 11:30 because of delays.
