Review summary

Overall, the cruise was ok. But we had heard great things about Royal Caribbean, and we were rather disappointed. Our cabin roof leaked and we were displaced for a while and had to sleep one night in another cabin while they repaired ours. Things happen. But, there was no word of apology, no offer of "sorry for the inconvenience, here's a free drink coupon", or whatever. Finally after we complained about the customer service, they eventually gave us 30% off our next cruise. Even then, they acted like they didn't care. Our biggest disappointment was when Galborn Williams, the front desk manager, and Milica Todorovic, guest services officer, presented a total air of indifference. Our great cabin steward, Weeks, was the only one who expressed regret over what happened. We had also prepaid our tips, but they never processed them, so had to pay at end of cruise. Nickolas at guest services was friendly and wonderful in getting this resolved. Finally, food and service in the main dining room was not great - water glasses not kept filled, steak tough, etc. Not what I would expect. We did have excellent food and service in the Windjammer cafe, especially from Rossy from Mexico. We have had great Carnival cruises in the past. Had heard good things about Royal Caribbean, so decided to give them a try. In general, we were most disappointed. It was not the fact that the cabin leaked, it was how management handled it.

The meat was always overcooked and tough: pork chop, steak, tenderloin, ect. Disappointed in selections at wind jammer.

Definately a hit or miss with customer service. I've had grwat experiences and not so great experiences. I find taking puctures of name badges makes em nervous. Lol

Sorry for your disappointment, we have cruised RCCL several times and always been happy.

It's not ships age or intenary that guarantees quality of cruise but rather it's crew. You can have a good or bad crew on any size ship and do not rate a cruiseline by one cruise.

Sorry you didn’t enjoy it. I wouldn’t judge an entire cruise line based on one cruise on an older ship on a shorter itinerary. Try a newer ship on a longer itinerary for a better experience.
