Review summary

Really nice relaxing trip. It took me back to the kinds of trips we took in the 80's and 90's. A real old school cruise with good people activities and person-to-person communication. The food and service was very good, as well as the on board entertainment. Overall, an unforgettable experience which we would be in favor of repeating!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Very smooth and painless boarding process.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Often had excellent meals on the Rhapsody OTS MDR. They served some of the best beef I've ever eaten! The Royal Chocolate cake is always a favorite!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not many bells and whistles aboard. Rock climbing wall was tough! Ship had a nice walking track. Pools and fitness center were never crowded.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ship's musical entertainment and shows were much better than I expected. There was no night life to speak past 11pm. The average age of most aboard was 65-70! So the dj (Amir! Poor guy!) just stopped trying.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service and staff was excellent. The ship was small and our time together was so long...14 days...we were like family.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Old school ship layout was on point. Never felt like it took all day to get from one end of the ship to the other!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Very comfy accommodations. Room had a small couch and table to handle room service. Wish it had a small fridge. It was fine for relaxation and had more than adequate space for storage and clothing!

Ship tip

Relax and soak up all the atmosphere...There is PLENTY!

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

4 out of 5
Plenty to do around Tampa and good eats. We came in 2 days early!

Santa Cruz De La Palma, Canary Islands

5 out of 5
Simply beautiful! Black sand beaches...volcanic mountain countryside and plenty of rich culture and history!

Tenerife, Canary Islands

4 out of 5
Larger and more metropolitan than DeLaPalma. Very clean and beautiful! Seems like a perfect getaway or retirement spot.

Malaga, Spain

4 out of 5
Large city with plenty of eating spots and historic landmarks. We tried food at several locations. Also very beautiful!

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Smooth and organized disembarkation. Had a 40 minutes for our transport to the train station to go to Pamplona. It was a nice day. The wait was not a problem.
