Review summary

The Rhapsody was beautiful and glamorous. We enjoyed sipping cocktails or coffee in the Centrum area where we had a spectacular view of the Ocean and could often listen to live music. We always felt like we were at a fancy hotel, albeit a floating one. Plenty of activities and entertainment were provided during the 'At Sea' days, and it was up to you to participate as much as you wanted. The evening shows were a great way to complete the day by adding entertainment around the evening meal, and were scheduled in such a way that they were easy to fit into your schedule. We also enjoyed visits to the gym & spa in the mornings on the Sea days, to get ready for the day and work off some of that great food from the night before! The ports and excursions were the highlight of the trip and I would encourage anybody to sign up for at least one excursion per port. This allowed us to get some real flavor of the islands versus just the gift shops that are always the first thing you run into getting off the ship. Our only negative experience was getting ourselves from the Houston airport to Galveston. This was a real beating as none of the local shuttle services we found were reliable. We had opted not to book this through Royal Carribean, and regretted that decision in retrospect after sitting at the airport for 2&1/2 hours after not one -but two!- shuttle services we found online left us sitting there. We would reccomend simplifying your lives and booking the local transportation through RC.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Best stop on the tour, and one of the most interesting days of our lives. Going on the Hidden Temples tour, where we got to walk through the ruins (versus see from the bus) was the best adventure of our lives. Not for people with walking problems, but this was incredible. So much history and we felt like we were walking through a National Geographic magazine.
Don't Miss: "Mayan Ruins & Hidden Temples" Tour. Spectacular!

Key West, Florida

The ghost tour and local legends was fun, although a tram to save all the walking would have been nice. Beautiful place.
Don't Miss: Capt Tony's Bar in downtown (Hemmingway's old haunt).

Probably the least interesting port. Heavily driven by gift shops. Wished we had planned in advance to visit 7 mile beach as it was not clear how to get there on our own, and not walking distance.
Don't Miss: 7&1/2 Mile beach
