We were not impressed with this ship. It was in poor shape and the crew was renovating it while we were sailing! Our shower was peeling and the curtain itself was moldy and created a strong smell in the bathroom. The beds were literally cots with mattresses on top!

The main dining room food was of very high quality. It was exquisitely prepared and was pleasurable to the eyes. We had the later seating which at 8:30 was late in the evening. If we wanted to snack around 6:15 there was nowhere open! The cafe in the Solarium, which sold pizza and french fries, closed at that time as well as the Buffet. I have never seen anything like it!

Our main complaint is that there were no sporting events offered. The only sports activity offered was shuffleboard! On other cruises, events have been scheduled to deeply that we have had difficulty deciding which one to attend. On this cruise, my friends and I were often found sitting around trying to find something to do next.

Our dining room staff went above and beyond to meet our needs. Whatever dining preferences we had, each and every one of them worked hard to make us happy. They even joked around with us each evening. Our stateroom attendant, however, made it known to us on the first day that our real attendant had quit and she was put in his place. We had towels missing throughout the week and it took her two full days to get us a new remote control. This made it difficult to enjoy being in our stateroom.

We have been on other cruises before with larger ships. This was mid-sized, lacking in many activities that others offer. Although the crew did their best to keep up and clean the ship, it was a lost cause. Our shower was peeling and the curtain itself was moldy and created a strong smell in the bathroom. The beds were literally cots with mattresses on top! Staircases were closed because they were installing new carpets using strong smelling adhesives that made my friends and I sick to our stomachs. Having stairs blocked off forced us to use alternate ways around the ship since elevators were slow. Other areas of the ship, mainly upper deck, were also closed because of resurfacing. We were not told of this renovating by Royal Caribbean, nor were we given any kind of discount for being so grossly inconvenienced.

As I said above, our stateroom was in a state of disrepair. The bathroom was literally falling apart and the beds were not comfortable.
The port in Progreso was by far the best of the four ports. The shopping right off the ship is extremely reasonable and the store owners weren't pushy like at other ports.
We went to the Shipwreck Snorkel which was within the Fantasy Island Resort. If you want to sit on a beach chair next to crystal clear aqua water, this is THE PLACE for you to go. Beautiful resort with all the ammenities - including very clean bathrooms and delicious food.
