Review summary

The ship, Rapsody of the Seas, was elegant yet comfortable. It never seemed too crowded. We brought two of our children for thier first cruise. They loved it and were in awe of so many of the areas of the ship as well as the staff. This made our time with them even more meaningful.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food and the atmosphere of the dining rooms were awsome. The selection met the wants and needs of each of us - unfortunately as evienced by our added weight during the cruise.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
I was pleased with the variety of activities for all ages. Even the activities that seemed too young for me were fun to watch. The cruise directors staff always appeared to be having the time of their life and that carried over to the participants.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The activities kept the kids busy and they appeared to be having a great time. Many of the parents we spoke to said their kids had made new friends on the ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The kids still say they miss our waiter and assistant waiter. They connected so well with our family and, although the kids did not look forward to "Dressing up" for dinner, they soon looked forward to it because of the staff. Other staff members were friendly, smiled and was attentive to anything we needed. Great job!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I commented several times how clean the ship was as well as how well kept it was given that there are so many people on it week after week.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We always go for a stateroom with a balcony so we can enjoy mornings together with coffee looking over the water. Our stateroom offered everything we needed and had plenty of room for all four of us to store our things and feel comfortable.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Although still coming back from last years hurricane, the folks in Cozumel were spirited and glad we were there. Great island.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
Great Snokeling and an beautiful beach.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
We chose the "Taste of Key West" tour and had a great time. The guide was knowledgable about the area and attended to everyone on the tour.
Don't Miss: Kermit's Key Lime shop - incredible!

Pros: Ships activities, crew and service were 1st class

Cons: The one day with rough seas
