We will not travel Princess Cruise line again - the food was terrible and the excursions were not suited for older people which the cruise was made up mostly of.
Embarkation
1 out of 5
There was no wheelchair to help my husband even though we requested one.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
You should fire your chef! I had fish 5 different nights - it was so dry I could not eat it!!! In the main dining room the food was terrible - it tasted terrible and the choices were awful!!!!!!!!
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
The pool water was too cold. There should have been more activities for older people since the cruise was made up mostly of elderly.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
here were so many older people on the cruise - you would have thought the entertainment might have been better chosen for them - at lease some of the entertainment!!!!
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Some of the staff were great - others terrible - ignored and walked right by us when we wanted to order a drink. The person who kept are room clean was fantastic!!! Best we have ever had on a cruise.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Yes - very clean -
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Nice cabin - perfect in size for us. The person who cleaned did an excellent job
When I look at the itinerary many of the activities are precisely for older people - like crochet and bingo and trivia. I don’t know what specifically you like but it seems like perhaps cruising is not a great fit. Even the food choices are so plentiful that no one forced you to eat fish 5 nights in a row….
Wow! Was just on the Regal, but in Europe. Loved the ship and staff. Didn't eat in the dining room, but the food in the buffet and other places was excellent.
I am sorry that you didn't have a good time.
I'll take this review with a grain of salt. You complain that there isn't activities for older people, but from my many Princess cruises, there are too many activities for older people of which I usually don't participate in, because they aren't for me. Just what kind of activities are you looking for that wasn't offered. I have always found the food on Princess is amazing, but I guess its all perspective. If you didn't like the fish, why did you keep ordering it, sounds foolish to me to keep ordering something that doesn't meet your standards. If a wheelchair is required, you should know there can be times when one be available, since as you said, the ship caters to the older crowd. My guess is that you requested one and you didn't get immediate service, and yih didn't want to wait, cause I can guarantee you, that they don't have enough wheelchairs for everyone who needs them, so there will be times when you have to wait till one is available. Since you complained so much, maybe cruising isn't for you.
Sorry you had difficulty with no wheelchair but I’ve been to all of those parts and we’ve had a fantastic time at each of them. It’s all subjective, right? Maybe try excursions.
