Review summary

A nice ship with plenty of activites. The cabins were adequate but the staff is what made this trip so enjoyable.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We booked our transfer from the airport to the port with Princess. Unfortunately, we had to wait and hour and a half before we were able to board the bus. Once we got to the port, we were able to get immediatley on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The buffet had a fair variety but most of the time, the food was not hot. We ate a breakfast there everyday, a few lunches and one dinner. The dinner was OK - again, nothing exceptional. We at 11 meals in the main dining room. One negative was that on the "Princess Favorites" or the standard fare side of the menu, did not have any beef on it. We ate at Alfredo's Pizzeria twice and it was good - not exceptional.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Loved the mini olympics that were conducted on sea days. They also had line dancing on every sea day. We participated in all of the guests vs officers games and they were a lot of fun.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We saw "Bravo" and it was great. We did not see the other ship's show as we did not finish dinner in time. We enjoyed the ventriloquist and the tribute to Neil Diamond. We did not attend any other shows due to dining conflicts and/or we were not impressed with what was performing each night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The entire staff on the ship were outstanding. It was the best activities staff. Our room steward was great as were our waiters in the main dining room (we had the same two each night)

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was easy to navigate. We were in an aft cabin which was nice for getting to the buffet. It was also on the same end as the Vista Lounge which we frequented a lot as this is where Bingo was held.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The bed was comfortable. I would have preferred firmer pillows.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Unbelievably busy airport with cruise passengers. There were approximately seven ships in port the day we disembarked.

Ponta Delgada, Azores

4 out of 5
A small island and we saw the highlights. Unfortunately, the weather was not too good which put a damper on our tour.

Brest, France

4 out of 5
We took an excursion to Quimper which was a charming, quaint town. Brest did not have anything of interest to us.

Rotterdam, Netherlands

5 out of 5
We toured Keukenhof Gardens which was absolutely amazing! The tulips were in full bloom and it was just beautiful.

Zeebrugge (Bruges), Belgium

5 out of 5
We took a tour of Ghent with a canal boat trip. A charming midevil town with great chocolates!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Super quick disembarkation
