Review summary

We were on a Carnival cruise last year and were very disappointed with the food on that ship but we were very pleased with the food on this cruise (except for the food in the buffet sitting too long under hot lights). Overall, we enjoyed this cruise from start to finish.

We last sailed on a Princess ship in 2018 and found this sailing to be just as good with the food in the MDR. Crown Grill was a delight and we look forward to going there again on our next cruise. The temperature of the food in the buffet was tepid ( meats and veggies) so we only ate there twice.

All of the staff we dealt with were very friendly. Our cabin steward was always nearby and seemed to enjoy talking with us. Bartenders were a delight to talk with as well as the women working in Customer Service.

We had a mini suite. The bathroom is a good size. The mini suite we had on the Island Princess had more square footage and a larger balcony but this cabin was all right.

Ship tip

I had read that the WiFi was very slow but it worked just fine for me. However, I wasn't uploading or downloading anything like videos, I just used it for texting.
