Review summary

The cruise was excellent and so relaxing (including the ports). The Medallion app needs a lot of work. The first day it didn't really work for most. The IT experts on the ship said it was because of all the demand and to wait until tomorrow. They know how many are going to be on board to the service should be set up accordingly. The TV app would constantly freeze and require the TV be cycled on/off. The map on the iPhone would also freeze, give a blank screen, or give complete server error messages. Staff had trouble reading medallions because the service was down or not working properly.

All excellent. Main dining room service was a little slow, probably as they are training and just getting back into the flow of things. Buffets were excellent. They tended to close down earlier than advertised, which was a little disappointing if you wanted to eat a late night snack.

Relaxing pool was great. Typical seat reservers galore, which is disappointing.

Superb entertainment. Comedian brought capacity crowds every time. Bravo production was outstanding.

We enjoyed the Regal in December. Due to the app we have cut back on future Princess cruises and mostly sailing on other lines for the next two years, and we are Elite on Princess 😞.
