Fun time on the Regal. Ship is in need of updating - carpets, balcony repair, signage showing starboard vs. port directions when exiting the elevators. Water at handwashing stations at buffet was too hot and couldn't be adjusted. Staff at Passenger Services were very patient and helpful. Stopping at 1 port per day was nice.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easy and uneventful. We were able to get into our cabin by 2:00 PM.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Didn't use the main dining room, but ate at the buffet 90% of the time. Two separate buffets in near proximity to each other was often confusing. Hot food was often room-temperature. It would have been nice to see more kid-friendly options: PB&J, traditional mac & cheese, etc. Crown Grill was great!
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Didn't do onboard activities. Enjoyed quiet time while kids were in Kids Club.
Entertainment
We didn't attend due to crowded seating.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
The kids loved them. Many organized activities and exceptional supervision.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Great service from room steward. Marginal service from waiters in buffet - many folks walking around with empty trays trying to look busy. Tables were cleaned quickly, but refills on drinks received a very poor rating as we often had to find coffee and juice ourselves.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Public areas were very clean. Once we learned the layout of the ship, we were fine.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Very close to elevators. Mini-suite was perfect for our family. Accommodated our mobility scooter, broken leg scooter and 2 very active kids. Queen bed, sofa sleeper that converted to twin bed and twin bunk over sofa. Our room steward kept it very clean.
Ship tip
Balconies are much smaller than on Ruby Princess and there is a charge for soda even at dining spots. Elevators are extremely crowded, possibly as a result of ages of the passengers. If you can do stairs, choose them!
Walked to Margaritaville. Next time we'll take a taxi. Many annoying and rude vendors along the way. Spent $60+ on two t-shirts for the kids and a magnet.
The Regal is our favorite Princess ship (for now, taking a cruise on the Sky Princess in 6 weeks, so that may change). Even though this itinerary has become "old hat" to frequent cruisers, they're still fun destinations. Glad to read that you had an enjoyable cruise experience.

Never had any problems with the internet in the past the new internet is 100% better then before. We always take towels from the ship when we go off never had a problem.
Usually the hall carpet on Port and Starboard each have an identifiable colour change in them so you know which side you’re on with Princess, I remember one side had red in it, the other didn’t
