Our cruise was awesome! Hubby and I hadn’t been in 15 years and this was our son’s first time. He thoroughly enjoyed it to the point that I teased him about not going in April and he got quite upset. Lol. Anything and everything about the ship and cleanliness and it’s staff was fantastic! I cannot believe how fast the week went though.
Embarkation

Having the medallion for this ship made a world of a difference! After getting through security, we were on the ship within ten minutes!!!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

So we opted for anytime dining which we will never do again. There was always a wait for the two dining rooms that we could attend. So with that being said, our next cruise is in April 2020, we are booked in a suite. For anyone booked in a mini suite or suite, you automatically dine at anytime in the dining rooms with absolutely no wait! A table is there and reserved for you the whole week. I believe it’s called Club dining.
The Horizon buffet was wonderful!!
Onboard Activities

All was good for what we did. We visited the game room/library a lot and we also liked to catch some of the movies under the stars.
Entertainment

We did trivia for a few nights and that was fun as well as visited the art show/auction they had aboard.
Children's Programs

Ah the teen club. Wonderful thing to have, along with the medallion and the apps that go with it. I was able to check on my son just by looking up his location within the app. My son loved it and cannot wait til we go again in April!

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was awesome but tight. Now we know so that’s why we are in a suite for the next cruise.
Ship tip
Book your excursions early. Also, go for traditional dining. It is at set times which is a little annoying but it was way more annoying to go to anytime dining and still have a wait for a table. Also, formal nights. Dress up!!
This island was ok..not much has changed here in the last 20+ years. Still lots of begging and people following you to buy into some excursion or just for chairs in the beach!
Got off the ship with our luggage in hand so we should have been able to walk off. No need to go thru customs or anything. Anyway we waited in a line that no one understood what we were waiting for cause there was just a complete lack of staff.
They were way over staffed when we boarded the ship the week before, they had maybe a 1/3 of that staff for disembarkation. They need to work on this. If my husband did not have global entry, we would have been stuck there at least an hour just to get outside and wait for a taxi.
