Review summary

Enjoyable family vacation with something for everyone!

Embarkation

Very easy and streamlined with the medallion. We had printed off boarding passes but never needed them as all the information was on the medallion.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We loved the anytime dining as the flexibility really worked for our family. The food and service was great. Desserts were spectacular.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pool was great and we especially enjoyed the retreat pool for a little more quiet. The jogging track and fitness center are nice.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We enjoyed the show Born To Dance

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
It looked like there were plenty of kids participating and lots of fun activities but we couldn’t convince our 13 and 16 year olds to spend any time there.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Erwin, our room steward, was fantastic. We had 3 staterooms for our family. He took care of all of us and I’m sure the messy teenagers were not easy! He was able to open up the doors between our balconies so we could get into each others rooms through the balcony doors. He was very friendly and kept our room spotless. We also really enjoyed the staff at Crooners, especially Eunice, Benny, and Sarah. And we also really liked George at the bar at the Retreat.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our family of 7 (4 of us over 21 and 3 teens) had 3 mini suites next door to each other: C417, C421, C423. We could not have been more happy! Plenty of space. It was really nice that our balconies could be opened up between our cabins. We were convenient to the elevators and stairs. Being on level 10 it was very convenient to take the stairs up or down when the elevators were busy.

Ship tip

Crooners is a great place to cap off your evening. If you have the drink package don’t forget it includes bottled water so ask for a bottle of water to take back to your room.

Ports of call

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Did a local excursion we found on Trip Advisor - Bernard’s Tour which took us in a van and showed us sights around the island. We stopped on French side for lunch and also at the airport beach for a drink at the bar and to watch the planes. Enjoyed all the sights and the commentary of our guide.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Took a taxi to Magens Bay. It was beautiful but also more crowded than expected.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Seemed crowded but lovely beach and great view of the cruise ship.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

They were running about an hour behind schedule but it all worked out fine.
