Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Bar service poolside was about average among the large cruise lines. The bar service in the interior bars was exceptional. The buffet was above average for the major cruise lines and the specialty restaurants were as well.

Ship Quality

The only drawback was the layout of deck 6. The main dining room on 6 (aft) cannot be directly accessed from deck 6 fore and midships. The Piazza is a wonderful area to have a nice pizza, good wine, and watch people.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The balcony was rather small, but we knew that going in and the A/C was barely adequate. Other than that, it was a vey nice cabin.

Ship tip

After boarding, go straight to Alfredo's pizza. The best pizza we've had on a cruise ship AND you avoid the embarkation crowd in the buffet.

Other than having to get up at 0-dark-thirty, very good.
