Review summary

Booked this one on relatively short notice after doing 7 days on the Regal in December. On that voyage, we did a 20 year vow renewal ceremony, which was wonderful. This time we just wanted to relax and be pampered, which they did beautifully. Have already booked another week in December of this year.

Embarkation

Wonderful. We live in Fort Lauderdale, so it's a short cab ride to the dock and we're boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Food was excellent. We had the club class dining and ate all our dinners in the dining room. Great service, too.

Onboard Activities

Didn't do much but relax, so can't really comment here.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Went to both shows of their comedian, Steve Caouette, who was very funny. All his shows were packed and rightly so. Didn't go to anything else.

Service and Staff

Service, as always, was top notch.

Ship Quality

We did the Western Caribbean in December. It was our first time on the Regal. We liked it so much, we came back in March.

Cabin / Stateroom

When we cruised in December, we met a couple who had L108, a club class mini suite and they raved about it. It's a bit bigger and configured differently than most mini suites. It's one of the cabins at the very front, and has a wonderful big front facing balcony. L108 and 107, as well as M108 and M107 have the same basic setup, but those two balconies are HUGE. When I saw L108 available at a good price, I booked it.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We love living in Fort Lauderdale, but haven't done any of their excursions here.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island) Did not visit port

First time we didn't visit here. Loved staying on board and having the ship with fewer people.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Just walked off the ship wandered around and shopped here.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Just walked off the ship wandered around and shopped here as well.

Disembarkation

Superb. Again, living in Fort Lauderdale means we can be one of the last ones off the ship. Home in about 15 minutes.
