Review summary

Just absolutely loved our experience on Regal! It was a fantastic first cruise for our family & we've already booked two more!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
This was our very first cruise and we had no idea what we were doing! That being said, we arrived at the cruise port with no issues & found our way to check in. We were far earlier than our scheduled time, but were able to check in very quickly and get on board!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was amazing! The buffet had a wonderful selection of just about anything you could think of. Fresh fruit & veggies, breads, meats, potatoes, you name it, it was there. We also ate in the main dining room with anytime dining. The selections were great & everyone was happy to have a nice selection to choose from. We had the regular drink package & our teenagers enjoyed the mocktails!

Alfredo's Pizzeria

Wheelhouse Bar (Pub Lunch)

Husband raved about the fish & chips they had one day at lunch. Also great music!

Crooner's Bar

Enjoyed listening to Ella Ryan perform here!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
So much fun! We observed a dance class in the Piazza, saw fruit carving, watched Movies Under the Stars, checked out there library, pools, etc. We really enjoyed that everyone was able to kind of find what interested them & go off & do they're own thing when we wanted to.

All pictures were out for you to look through. We found our photos to purchase & thought it was fun to see others photos also!

Passenger Services

5 out of 5

Super helpful! Had a mini episode where we couldn't find our youngest, passenger services was fantastic!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We were so lucky, we were on board during the Entertainer of the Year competition. We saw some amazing acts, a magician named Michael Barron, a comedian named Jo Little, a singing group called The Modern Gentlemen & an entertainer named Tom Franek. Seeing all of them was so much fun & then we were able to vote for our favorite (Tom Franek won). We also watched The Voice of the Ocean as well as all their Broadway quality shows. We were also completely enchanted with an Irish singer named Ella Ryan who was just phenomenal!

Movies Under The Stars

5 out of 5

There is nothing like watching The Greatest Showman while snuggled under a blanket, next to your husband while floating out in the ocean under the stars. It was so unreal!

The Library

4 out of 5

Not quite enough books for my liking, but a beautiful room!

Princess Theater

5 out of 5

Seating here is perfect. The theater is designed so that there isn't a bad seat in the house! Went to half a dozen shows here & was never disappointed in where we sat!

SeaWalk

Amazing view, even when you're scared of heights!

Piazza Atrium

So. Freaking. Beautiful.

Children's Programs

Two of our teenagers utilized the teen area & had so much fun. They did scavenger hunts, a hot tub party, played all kinds of games & made some new friends. They both said this was their favorite part of the trip!

Teen Open Area

My kids said this was their favorite part of the whole trip!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Oh goodness, every single employee we came in contact with was fantastic. Our room steward (her name escapes me now, darn it) was just fantastic. She took amazing care of both of our rooms & was just so incredibly friendly. Everyone was pleasant & smiled alot! Every face was friendly & we felt so welcome and at ease the whole trip!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Regal is an absolutely gorgeous ship! This was our first cruise, but my oh my, it was so impressive! The Piazza is breathtaking & the ship was just spotlessly clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We booked two interior rooms, with one room in between us. Both rooms were great. Our room had a nice big bed, plenty of closet/storage space in the room, it was very comfortable. Our kids had the same size room, but the beds were configured differently since there were three of them. Their room was the same.

Ship tip

As soon as you get on board, explore & familiarize yourself with the ship & its layout!

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
No excursion but stayed the night in Hollywood Beach. Nice city, did a little sight seeing, but not much else.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Loved Princess Cays! We enjoyed a beach day here. The water was just beautiful! There was a nice buffet lunch served here as well. It was a nice relaxing day with the family!

Falmouth, Jamaica Did not visit port

We were rerouted to Ocho Rios due to choppy waters in Falmouth. We did however enjoy Ocho Rios, we visited the beach, some shops & a nice overlook point where we got some great photos!

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We did Cozumel by land & sea. We took a cool glass bottom boat ride, went to the Mayan Cacao Company & toured a Tequilaria. Only thing we were unhappy with was Fat Tuesdays, where we were charged far more than the menu prices.

Disembarkation
