Review summary

This was an amazing cruise, I loved the ports especially Jamaica, loved my excursions, food was amazing pretty much anywhere you went, and Regal Princess was stunning. The lady at the port in FLL was a pain but I didn't let that tarnish a great vacation, I would do this again it in a heartbeat.

Embarkation

It went well and was efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

The buffet had just about anything you could want to eat and is geared toward pleasing a lot of different palates. The Crown Grill was so yummy! They had the best steaks and that peanut butter bar is a must for dessert.

Crown Grill

The Crown Grill is a must try! I'm a fairly picky eater and loved my meal. The peanut butter bar for dessert, the goat cheese and heirloom tomato salad was just yummy and the steak was delicious! Worth the reservation!

Onboard Activities

I like to swim so my main activity was the pool. The best time to hit the pool on Lido deck is roughly an hour before the mvies under the stars because then the pool will fill with people watching the movie.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We had a room steward named James who we didn't ask for anything in particular but he had always had a smile on his face every day, he monitored our time to make sure he didn't bother us if we were sleeping, he was kind of like our cruise cheerleader the whole time.

Ship Quality

I had wanted to go Regal Princess and she didn't disappoint. Stunning ship, very clean and more like a luxury hotel experience. Already making plans to sail on her again if I can get the vacation time!

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was a mini suite. C314. It was quiet, just over the tenders so if you have a fear of heights they kind of help if you look over the balcony at the water. It doesn't look quite so far down. 2 tv's, fridge, sofa, nice desk with vanity mirror. We had 3 people in there and it was plenty of space.

Ship tip

When they have a sale on in the boutiques, if it says it's for 2 hours only, it is just for those hours even if there is stock left. They had watches for $19.99 and I missed out because it was for 2 hours only.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

No excursion but we booked a hotel on our own right on the beach, it was great!

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

I liked what I saw but didn't get to see as much as I liked.

Falmouth, Jamaica

I was completely enchanted by Jamaica!! Planning a trip back somehow. The culture, the island is stunning! There is history, natural beauty, fun locals and a positive vibe and lifestyle that is infectious!! We toured Rose Hall and I would do it again.

George Town, Grand Cayman

I kissed a stingray at stingray city and held a baby green sea turtle! They drop you off in the middle of the Caribbean ocean on a sandbar that has just 4 ft of water. You feed the stingrays and give them smooches, it was amazing!

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Best burrito I ever had and I'm sure it probably wasn't authentic Mexican. Cozumel was fun, fun, fun!! I took the dolphin excursion and they provided a buffet lunch with an open bar. They even sent us back with a "to go marguerita". I remember sitting in a taxi cab holding my cocktail while we sped through the streets of Cozumel thinking "this is so cool, I'm riding in a taxi in Mexico with a cocktail, back home we would be busted for open container!"

Disembarkation

There was a lady in the port area who insisted we go one way when our car was the other way. I don't think she worked for Princess but she was very pushy about it so we ended up walking all the way around the parking garage to get to our car. My dad has trouble walking and we really didn't appreciate her making our job more difficult than it already was.
