Review summary

This is my third cruise I have been on but first on princess. While never ever go on them again. Serious lack of activities and overpriced drinks coupled with either uniformed crew or lying crew had left a bad taste in my mouth for cruising. Will properly not cruise again for a long time. By the way the rating should be low 2. Ports brought up the numbers.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
This was probably one of the better parts of the trip. Very efficient and nice.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Food was never better than average. The drinks are were things got bad. The worst beer selection I have ever seen. Nothing special drink wise, and without the unlimited beverage package even affordable to drink. Got the coffee card because I love coffee but was more of a necessity. Do not believe advertisement or people on the ship, they lie and tell you that it can be used at the Gelato place and it can not.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
The running track is really small, seven times around too equal one mile. The fitness center is okay but most of the machines break quickly and small free weight area. Pools were nice but positioned right in the wind. Blankets available on deck for late nights are great.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Shows were okay but way too packed, you have to get there at least a hour before to find a seat. The"clubs" are too small so not enough real room for Djs.

Children's Programs

Do not have kids

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Besides the staff that lied about the coffee cards or drink prices (told $6 for a rum and coke but was really $8) the staff was pretty nice.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was very clean but layout was really confusing even for a cruise ship. You have to go to mishap a lot just to get around.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Not sure how this was considered obstructive view because it was not, had a great view. The cabin was great but having to put your card in there for the lights too be on kind of sucks. Not sure why do not follow a clean practice of reusing towels.

Ship tip

Do not go on this ship, choose another cruise line. Will never go back on princess cruise line.

Ports of call

Saint John, New Brunswick

3 out of 5
Lack of excursion, only good one is the pink bus. Port is nice.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

3 out of 5
This is my second visit to Halifax. I love this town and would love to come hear one day not on a ship so I can really explore it. Once again there was almost no excursions and being that I have been hear before on another cruise line I know there should be a lot more. Pink bus is once again the best deal.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
Fill out your forms as soon as you get it or you will be pushed to a very late disembarkment, they give you very little time to fill it out. Besides that I always say port authority should teach TSA how to run.
