Review summary

Don't purchase the drink package.  Once the staff realizes you have this package they never come back to you or your group.  You then have to make special efforts to gain their attention or go to the bar.

The assistant manager for the excursions was rude and unhelpful. His best and most notable comment was "We at Princess cannot be held accountable to meet your expectations of the  excursion"  Our expectation was not to just be taken to stores and not have any food or water for 4.5 hours.

I've been a faithful Princess cruiser and always recommend this particular cruise line.  It was almost as if the staff was told never to apologize and be vague on how to respond.  My neighbors, who introduced us to Princess, were on another Princess cruise a week later.  While on the cruise, they purchased four (4) bottles of very expensive rum.  They had to check them in when they boarded the ship.  Last day only two bottles showed up in their room.  After a search, they first tried to blame my friends until they showed the receipts.  In the end, they would only begrudgingly refund them what they paid for the rum in Barbados, not what they would have to pay for the same rum in the US (which was more than double). All this with no apologies.

As if to add insult to injury, Princess dropped their luggage off the boat into the brackish water.  With no apologies, they didn't help them find the bag.  My friends had to go in search of the bag which was with other bags (which also took a swim).  Once they found the bag, they were required to open the bag and inventory the items with a Princess customer support (who was anything BUT support).  They were told that once they were home, to make a list of anything that was damaged...and the supply a receipt for anything that was damaged!!!  Like they would have a receipt for all the leather shoes, belts or gowns or other items in the suitcase.  When my friend called the Princess customer support to discuss this issue...the customer support said my sweet friend was being difficult and that all communications will have to be via email and hung up on her!

What has happened with Princess?!?!?!  We will for sure have to consider our options when planning our next vacation...and unless there is some resolution to these issues...it won't be Princess.

Our excursion was purely to force us into shops. The church as nice, the pretend cigar factory was a joke. The place they tool us to eat was another place to force us into shops. The lunch was left-overs from the previous three groups who were there before us...so we had just the stew without any of the meat. Never again on this island.
