Review summary

Loved the ports, the shows,  the service and the onboard shopping! Food was not as good as Royal Caribbean. Very disappointed. Food selection: same breakfast every single morning. Food not hot, Virtually impossible to get coffee which was always warm before they put milk in and cold thereafter. Even Specialty dining was mediocre. Ate pizza for dinner. Had planned to book another cruise now worried about my upcoming Princess cruise! If food not better on next cruise, it will be my last Princess cruise!   Also, no stepson the middle of the ship. Had to use elevator to go up and down one flight. What a waste of time!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Food boring, never hot. The worst cruise food we have ever had.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The best entertainment. Movies and concerts at the pool.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Joe at Bellini's bar was great. Maria our cabin steward was great!

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ship was very clean. No stair mid-ship. Forced to use elevator to go up and down one flight. What a waste of time.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Always clean. Liked the candies on the pillow every night. Cabin a little narrow but plenty pf drawer space.

Ship tip

If you want specialty dining, you need to make reservations the day of disembarkation otherwise they sat they are booked. However, overtime we ate in the restaurants, at lest 33% of tables were empty. Do not think they had enough staff for the sold out cruise!

Ports of call

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Went to Grand Turk, not Jamaica. Great!

George Town, Grand Cayman

I think the middle steps are gone because of the expanded atrium. We were surprised abour those syeps the first time on Royal as well. But love Princess and about to go on 12th. Never had a bad experience or food.

royal and regal were both poorly designed

I spent most my time in the lifts then anything else, no joke!! It was that bad we didn't really do any evening entertainment as got so annoyed sitting in the lift to go up 4 floors, then to end up back where we started to then go down one level..!! Movies in the room was our saving grace, however room service was terrible having to wait 25-30 mins on hold!!

I done 2 weeks in the Regal, beautiful ship but like you said the food was not great and I won't be sailing again in the regal. I am wheelchair bound so the lifts were very frustrating, the lifts at the front and back of the ship only went to deck 6, but to get to deck 5 you needed to get off at deck 7 walk to middle of ship where there is no stairwell so everyone uses lifts to get to deck 4 or 5!
