Review summary

We have never sailed on a princess ship before, so we were excited to experience both Princess Cruise Lines and a new ship.  At the same time, we have never visited St. Thomas before, and were excited to visit this port of call.  We could tell a difference right away with Princess vs. the other cruiselines.  First of all, when you first walk onto this beautiful ship, there is not someone trying to sell you a drink package, spa packages or bingo.  Instead you walk right into the beautiful atrium that is large, bright and inviting.  Next we went into room to see if it was ready, and it was.  It was only 11am, and our room was ready for us!  We stayed in an interior room.  The layout of the room was the best interior we have ever stayed in.  Many places to store our suitcases, plenty of closet space and ample shelves to keep our stuff.  The only negative was the small bathroom.  I like the layout of the bathroom, but was very very small.  Next we went to get lunch.  There were many option to choose from, but the best part was that the wait staff brings you drinks in the buffet, and not you having to get your drinks like the contemporary cruise lines require.  Food was upscale and many choices.

As the cruise went along, we experienced wonderful food and wonderful entertainment.    Wait staff was wonderful and room steward was very attentive and addressed any and all needs we had.  I am giving a 4 star instead of a 5 star only because of the last night entertainment.  The songs were wonderful but the costumes of the female dancers were way too inappropriate.  It was like we were watching a show in a strip club.  If we had children with us, we would have got up and left the show.  This was unfortunate, because the shows were great up to this point.

We really enjoyed the pizza on board, the movie under the stars and the movies on demand in the stateroom.  We did not get a chance to enjoy everything this ship has to offer and would for sure go again on this beautiful ship.

By the way, we loved St. Thomas and St. Johns and would go back in a heart beat!
