Review summary

This was our first cruise back since 2019. Radiance was an experience comparable to an older princess ship. Very nice older crowd of people. It was very relaxing and unwinding. We had such a great time that we booked 2 more cruises with RCB out of Galveston on Allure of the Seas for the 4th time to go with the kids. Haha Radiance is such a great ship! Can’t wait to sail on her again without the kids. She’s more suitable for couples without kids.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
She’s an older ship, so not as many activities as on bigger and newer ships.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We really enjoyed all the production shows. Amazing talent! The juggler was fantastic! The comedian was terrible. Not funny at all. Went to see his evening performance to see if it would be spicier. Nope. My 4 year old got more jokes than he did.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Outstanding service and staff! Always smiling and singing. Just love it!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
We love older ships for all their wood work and ambiance. Radiance was gorgeous! We loved every venue!

Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip

Book shore excursions early. We missed out on 2 because we didn’t think to book ahead of time.

Thanks for sharing your experience on the Radiance. Have only sailed the Liberty of the Seas and LOVED her from Galveston, but she has moved to the East Coast.☹️ Looking forward to checking out the Radiance of the Seas!
