Review summary

This was our second cruise, our first cruise was on the same ship in the same cabin. We were so impressed with the first cruise which was a 12 night New Zealand cruise, that we decided that we wanted to have the same experience only longer. 18 nights on the same ship sounded great and started out great, but the 6 days at sea from Honolulu to Morea would have been much better if we had something to do. The entertainment that we enjoyed on the first cruise just wasn't there. Even the kids were bored. The teenagers abandoned Kids Club and took to sitting on the stairs in groups. The 5 sea days to Wellington was as bad. We were so disappointed our third cruise is on the Golden Princess. No more Royal Caribbean for us.

When you state 'a chair on Sea days ' are you referring to observation deck chairs? Or poolside?

Yes, I forget the name, but they have the self leveling pools tables and. Wii game...the pool tables are amazing to see. we really liked Radiance. However my manager was just on it in Alaska and she wasn't impressed. guess it all depends on you expectations.. The solarium pool is full of seniors by 6 am, so if you want. A chair on sea days get there by 5:30 am...not kidding about this! my husband was up there one morning that early to get 2 chairs, he called me just after 6 in our room and told me to get up there "the vultures are circling".

Don't they have a game room? With cards and board games? My family would have a ball just entertaining ourselves for a couple of days.

We did 12 nights on Radiance from Honolulu to Vancouver and enjoyed it, the last 2 sea days were spent inside, but we went to a movie, listened to Ask The Captain on the main theatre. always keep in mind that on these repositioning cruises there aren't any opportunities to switch out the entertainment with another ship or island along the way. we had a Hawaiian band on ours who played every evening in the Centrum, it was lovely

18 nights on any ship from any cruise line must be the same, right? I am not sure how they can keep people busy. I was on an 11 night cruise on Radiance and the sea days were quiet - reading, eating, sleeping and talking to fellow passengers seemed to be the popular activity :-). While we had a very relaxing time, if we ever did a other cruise full of sea days we'd pick a larger ship (and wouldn't take kids). Still, any day at sea on any ship beats a day at work!
