As consecutive cruiser, ship's staff inform us how the transfer will operate. Maitre D came and take our table reservation 565. The first diner of that cruise, surprise... someone else was sitting at the table 565. Very un professionnal.

henris,  I would suggest that in the future you not book around school breaks if you do not want a lot of kids on the ship.  I may also suggest lines like Celebrity or HAL that tend to cater more to a adult demographic.

Just spent 39 days on this very special ship.  Radiance will go through a needed refurbishment when it gets to Vancouver but she is still my favorite ship.  Most of the staff was wonderful.  Royal has slowly cut back on its activities and quality of food service over the last 10 years but so have many of the other lines, too.  Daily suggested gratuities added to your sea pass have also escalated which means that Royal is passing on salary increases to passengers in additional charges. (Not your Booking Costs)  All said, I loved my cruises around Australia and will look forward to sailing on this class of ship again.
