Review summary

We have cruised before on a Voyager class ship so we were a little leery going down a notch to the Radiance class but we were nicely surprised at the ambiance this ship provided. It felt like you saw more of the same people so you got to know people on a deeper level.

This is why we chose Royal for this cruise and it did not disappoint. They continue to be the creme of the crop when it comes to fine dining and sophisticated food choices.

There was so much to do that it was almost overwhelming. You can never go on a Royal Caribbean cruise and say you were bored.

The staff never has a bad day. They are always willing to do anything for you at any time.

We did the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins tour through Native Choice Tours. We were skeptical at first but quickly realized how much better we had it than the people who booked their tour on board the ship. Our tour guide Manuel was incredible with his knowledge and friendliness. Our tour had 6 people in it vs. the other tour which had about 40 per guide.

Don't Miss: Chacchoben Mayan Ruins

We didn't really do any tours here. We just went shopping. Have a taxi take you tot the "Forum Shops" and work your way back to the pier. It is a must experience. While the people seem overbearing at times they are always friendly even when you don't buy.
