Lots of Memories

Sail Date: December 11, 2010

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The ship was very clean and was decorated beautifully. The staff, including our room attendant, wait staff, activities director, cruise director and entertainment staff were fantastic. My only complaint is that there wasn't enough on board entertainment provided for the last day on the ship when we were at sea, It seemed like we really had to search for entertainment. Also, unless you are planning to do a lot of shopping in Cozumel, don't waste your time in going to the "lecture" provided the day before arriving in Cozumel. I, along with several others, attended in hopes of learning about Cozumel and getting tips on things to do; instead it was more of a sales pitch as to which shops to visit. Clearly those particular shops and the cruise ship had a deal worked out.

Pros: Various on board actitivites

Cons: Smoke in the casino

Recommends Radiance of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
Other than the coffee, our dining experience was overall good. I have NEVER had such strong coffee in all my life and I overheard several other guests also commenting on the strongness of the coffee. It would have been nice if there had been food available at all times; a few times we went to the Windjammer Cafe to get a snack and they were closed.
Entertainment
Ship Quality
The ship was very well appointed and offered activities for all ages.
Cabin / Stateroom
Very clean stateroom. The shower was quite small and we had a few occassions when the toilet didn't flush, but overall a very nice stateroom.
Service and Staff
All staff was very polite and considerate.
Children's Programs
We did not travel with children but did notice that the staff did a very good job in keeping the kids occupied and away from the adult activities.
Cozumel, Mexico
The minute you set foot on the shore be prepared to be swarmed by the shop keepers trying to lure you into their shops. They are very willing to deal with you so don't ever pay their first offer.
Don't Miss: We didn't take any excursions; we just walked through the town.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
I loved Costa Maya! So very pretty and clean. The shop owners here weren't as aggressive as those in Cozumel but still were willing to deal.
Don't Miss: Swimming with the dolphins!
