A: I went on the Radiance after several Carnival cruises. It’s up to you to have fun of course. I enjoyed it OK. Some differences are that the food is not very good (desserts are not flavorful, buffet very basic), there are lots of activities aimed at p... re-teens, crew do not seem happy like Carnival crew, etc. I would definitely cruise again with RC if the price was really good but with those expectations. I’m sure they do some things better than Carnival too but I can’t remember any.See More

A: I’ve been on the Radiance and sailed on Carnival ships. You and your family will have a fantastic time. Take in the shows and enjoy the variety of food choices. A cruise is what you make of it not what someone else tells you. Remember just have fun!!

Q: Hi all! Going on the cruise to Alaska in August. Should we book the excursions in advance or will we be able to choose when we get to the different ports?

A: many ports can be done without buying an excursion if you can walk some. However, things like whale watching or train rides, I'd recommend pre-booking. Using outside vendors is many times a good choice.

A: I can't speak for what will be available at the port, but I do recommend setting up your excursions ahead of time. Just 1 less thing to worry about.

A: If you want to do one specific thing, book it in advance - but find the "best" price.if you are flexible, wait till you get there. the weather is often variable, so whale watching or a float plane trip c/b cancelled. there are lots of vendors on t... he docks, so you should have options. and the Excursions desk could still have many great options. And, you could also plan some stuff on your own. The Lumberjack show in Ketchikan is right near the pier, and next to a great restaurant too!See More

A: Hi, I know you received an answer but I wanted to add to it. I just sailed on Radiance of the Seas and I also have many food allergies. As soon as I get on the ship, we head to the main dining room or outside the buffet to find the maître d that make... s reservations for the main dining room. I have a card that has all my food allergies and they put everything in their computer so it’s on the database throughout the ship. I hook up with a head waiter and he makes sure everything is cooked properly no matter if I ate in the MDR or Windjammer. I also bring on GF flours, mixes and DF cheeses that they will make any recipe that you have recipes for. Ask for Kailass if you eat in the main dining room -he’s the best and will make sure you have great food throughout your cruise!See More

A: Gluten free items are available in the Windjammer, Main Dining Room and Specialty Restaurants. I've read that gluten free pizza is also available on request where pizza is served. It is important to.let your waitstaff know of your allergy. If you d... o Traditional Dining you will have the same waitstaff each night which will help.See More

A: If A4 is your muster station, your best resource for this is the Royal app. Queue up your cruise, then press the SAFETY icon along the bottom of the screen. The muster station you are assigned to is at the top of the screen, and a link to where it... is located (FIND ON DECK) is there as well.See More
