Hi all, first RC cruise departing from Tampa 12/18/23. Generally a Carnival cruiser. How different will it be? What can I expect? Regardless, my family and I are looking forward to a fantastic time. I went on the Radiance after several Carnival cruises. It’s up to you to have fun of course. I enjoyed it OK. Some differences are that the food is not very good (desserts are not flavorful, buffet very basic), there are lots of activities aimed at pre-teens, crew do not seem happy like Carnival crew, etc. I would definitely cruise again with RC if the price was really good but with those expectations. I’m sure they do some things better than Carnival too but I can’t remember any.

I’ve been on the Radiance and sailed on Carnival ships. You and your family will have a fantastic time. Take in the shows and enjoy the variety of food choices. A cruise is what you make of it not what someone else tells you. Remember just have fun!!
