Review summary

We loved this cruise on QM2; it was our second time on the ship.  Contrasting it with our last cruise (Norwegian Breakaway), the ship does not feel crowded in its public rooms or elevators.  There are not endless announcements or crazy parties at the pool.  The entire two weeks were completely relaxing.

The food was delicious with a lot of variety,  Because one of us required gluten-free food, we were given the next day's menus so that we could choose an item which was then prepared GF.

On the down side, the entertainment was less than stellar.  While the performers were very good, the material was lacking.  Also, the planetarium was broken.

Overall, we would sail on Cunard again.

I love the large, protected balcony. It's so nice to go outside at night and feel close to the sea.

Ship tip

Deck 6 mid-ship is convenient to the buffet on deck 7 as well as to the dining room on decks 2 and 3.

They fixed the planetarium before the end of the voyage. We saw it on the second to last day.
