Review summary

The ship itself, was great. I didn’t care for the entertainment on this cruise. The last show, Sonic Odyssey was actually decent, but it was at the end of the cruise. We had 5 days at sea with boring programs. The activities and shows seem to lack for some reason and I just can’t put my finger on why. Chips and Jamie’s were both a bust but Izumi was great (as usual). Main Dining Room wasn’t bad and Sorrento’s staff were always smiling. I didn’t use my coffee card completely and couldn’t even give away coffee 🤣. Everyone had coffee cards on the ship. I love Quantum class ships but this cruise (because of entertainment & activities) fell below RCCL standards if you ask me.

Embarkation

Embarkation at Canada Place is best described as an organized chaos! You walk up, down, left, right, back, and forth before you get to the registration spot. A lot of people going to various ships, but somehow we all got to our destination (organized chaos). Unbelievable, but we didn’t wait too long. Lines kept moving.

Cabin / Stateroom

This junior suite was nice however, they really need to fix the flaw with the rain shower. The glass door doesn’t have a latch and the door will open slightly with the motion of the ship, causing water to come out. This seems to be a bad design that I’m sure I’m not the only one who has complained. The pillows on the sectional sofa should be replaced too. Should consider using a more durable kind.

Ship tip

Get to the Two70 and Royal theater early enough to grab best seats!

Ports of call

Victoria, British Columbia

3 out of 5
Didn’t really do much but walk around the port and capture some things in or around the port.

Honolulu, Oahu

4 out of 5
Honolulu was a good trip but expensive. Explored the north shore and ate at Famous Kahuku Shrimp (good but wish the peeled the shrimp). Waikiki Beach is busy, expected considering it’s a big tourist spot. Overall, my time here was good but I wasn’t wowed. Stayed at the Alohilani Resort post cruise for 3 nights. Was a bit underwhelmed with the resort. Price was overpriced if you asked me.

Lahaina, Maui

Maui is a nice stop. It is a tender port. Plenty of chickens roaming around. Koholā is a nice brewery to visit. Great shopping at the outlet stores (although limited). Great food and of course beach! On another note, tendering on day one was a mess!! Long line at port awaiting tender back to ship.

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Vancouver was great and I had food from plenty of locations. Only thing I wish I didn’t do was rent a car. It wasn’t needed.
