Review summary
The ship itself was very nice. It was the management & service. None of the help was happy to be there. They even shared with us that "this was not what we had signed up for." I have been on a NCL ship before and it was ran by europeans and it was wonderful. But this NCL ship was ran by Americans and it showed...The ship was ran by greed not service. We felt like cattle. This Free Style Crusing is for the birds...You had to fight to eat every meal. Make reservations for almost every restaurant. Then when we got in there was a $10.00 to $20.00 cover charce per person for dinner. Then the portions sizes were so small. It was like every place you went to eat, they tried so hard to keep the food from you. I told my husband that "we don't have to worry about gaining weight on this trip." They did not even have trays to put your food on so you would have to carry all of these plates around to find a table then go back to get your side dishes and drinks. It was such a hastle you just gave up...I couldn't believe it. We had such a great dining experience on our last cruise. DON'T GO FREE STYLE..IT WAS SO BAD.The Ports were great and everything was fine. The food and dining experience was bad. You can bet anywhere you had to BUY a drink the service was pretty good. I don't know what else to day. Go by airline and stay at the island o your choice. DONT CRUISE IT.Ship experiences
