The ship itself was nothing short of elegant. The staff was friendly, the activities were numerous, and the stateroom was cozy but more than adequate.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The food from the different dining locations was fantastic. There was never a shortage of variety, and the specialty dining was unbeatable quality for the price.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
There was no lack of activities on the cruise. Being newlyweds, we were not in a good enough financial standing to go on excursions, so we mostly were up to the programs on the ship. The main issue that we had was that the schedules often did not agree with the actual program start times, and some of these programs were even cancelled without prior notice. We did enjoy a number of quality activities, but I must say the overall expecience was so-so.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Most of the staff did an exceptional job tailoring to our needs. They were friendly, courteous, and all-around helpful. When my wife got sick, a staffer helped carry her to the sick bay. A waiter at the specialty dining locale "Shabu Shabu" also sticks out in my mind. He did an exceptional job making sure our dining experience was superb, and even went as far as to purloin some green tea ice cream to top off the evening.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was beautiful from the inside out. Many hours were put into making sure the ship was nothing short of pristine.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
We got an inner cabin on one of the lower decks. For us, the stateroom was exceptional. There was room for all our belongings, a safe for our valuables, and the bed was soft and cozy. With the lights out, it was pitch black in there, and made for some excellent sleep time.
There was a Saturday vigil at Immactulate Conception, with a complementary bus. The bus took the most direct route to the church, which also doubles as the scenic route. The island is exceptionally beautiful and unadulterated. This was my most favorite island. The church we went to had a mission style to it, and was beautiful from the inside out.
There was a mom-and-pop shopping mall within walking distance of the port. The Dance Dance Revolution machine on the ship was broken, so we were excited when we found one within this shopping mall. We wore ourselves out on that machine, then staggered back to the ship, content that we had our fill. The place was great for picking up trinkets for family members back home.
