A great Hawaii cruise, lacking on food and service
Embarkation

For priority passengers, the check in process was amazingly simple and enjoyable. The crew during this process was amazing and extremely accommodating.

Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food category was clearly where this cruise was lacking. There were food options, but you really had search for them. There were few dishes that my whole party and I truly enjoyed, and there were also few that all of us truly despised. This leaves the rest of the food (almost all of it) somewhere in between good and bad. the best meal on the ship is breakfast, then lunch, then dinner (for complimentary options). My point: Don’t take this cruise strictly for the food, you will be disappointed.
Dear NCL, You have given the chef a sufficient array of ingredients, but something isn’t adding up when the dishes are made.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
This ship does not have any of the flashy fun activities that most cruise ships have now (water slides, ropes course, ext.) There is a theater that is sufficient for this size of ship, however it isn’t the crazy two story theater that might be on other ships. while we did technically have a theater, it was a shame that almost all of the entertainment planned for our cruise was canceled for a gospel event that was happening during the cruise.
The entertainment wasn’t just changed to gospel type performances, but we also weren’t even allowed in the theater for the performances since we weren’t technically a part of the gospel group. It’s frustrating when you pay for something that you don’t get at all, and this also left us looking for things to do at night while half the passengers are at the gospel performances. In a ship with already limited options for entertainment, this made our choices even slimmer. some spaces that we did enjoy were the library, the card room, the comedian(the only show that we were actually allowed to see in the theater) and, of course our stateroom.
Children's Programs

The teen club had many fun activities through the week. The counselor, Lightning, communicated well with the teens and kept a good schedule. While Lightning is doing a great job, I believe that there should be at least one more counselor in the room to help keep the club orderly.
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
The best staff on the ship are definitely the housekeepers and concierge/butlers. They have a great work ethic and made our cruise much more enjoyable. However, many of the other staff on the ship (Mostly wait staff) were not as pleasant as other ships that I have been on. I won’t go in great detail as to not put down any of the good workers on the ship, but they just didn’t have the same work ethic as other ships.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
While this ship isn’t one of the crazy mega ships with all the amazing features, the things this ship does have are very well maintained. There’s new floors and furniture sprinkled around the ship, and there are always maintenance workers power washing something on the side of the boat. Norwegian has done very well with the quality of the ship itself.
Cabin / Stateroom

Amazing suite, housekeeping was phenomenal. Butler was very thoughtful and brought little treats for us during the trip. The balcony was huge and it was the highlight of the trip.
Ship tip
The main dining room food was very sub par, you are more likely to find something good in the buffet.
Truly amazing experience. Most people who visit hawaii don’t get the chance to see this part of the island and it was so special that we got to see it.
